Since pet peeves have already been aired here, this is mine. Not that I'm going to put on the Grammar Nazi hat, but this, after all, is a site that is still representative of an educational institution that is accessible to outsiders.
So let's please practice proper English and Filipino writing skills. Fellow teachers, I am appealing to you to help enforce this. Thank you.

Heroes TV Series
Last night I found out from online sources how the first season finale of this series ended.
It's a bit disappointing, the climactic confrontation not having the same urgency that the earlier episodes seem to have built up on, as well as having streets too empty for New York City, compared to the Spider-Man movies.
Maybe it's okay for half the city to blow up anyway, because there are no people around.
But I'll still watch the second season.

Villain vs. Villain II
Finally unlocked all the characters in Lego Star Wars II. Here's the Emperor giving the Emperor and Darth Vader a taste of the Sith Lightning in my version of the climactic Return of the Jedi battle.

Dave Barry - Comic Writer and Musician
This is the author of one of the books I was able to buy over the weekend. Besides being a published writer, he has also teamed up with other writers such as Stephen King and Amy Tan to form a musical band called "The Rock Bottom Remainders".

Fish & Chips
Ate at Fish & Co. GB3 last weekend. Only now remembered to post about it. Got their fish and chips (which is actually french fries). The fish was huge for P300+ and not crispy at all, but soft.

From Live Action to Drawn
Last night I was able to watch the first three episodes of the live action movies that I viewed first. So far the plot development is the same, with a little more exposition especially on where the notebook originated and the his academic relationship with his sister.
But the people in school who are into this are hoping that like some of those local TV series turned into movies, that the ending of the movies may be different from the ending of the series.
Let's hope so, otherwise I'm just watching an extended version of something I already know the story of.

Smallville Season 6 Cliffhanger
I just found out last night what happens at the end of the season. They really kept the surprise of the identity of the established Superman villain to make the appearance until the last minute or so. Being the comic geek that I am, trying to outguess which characters are going to show up in the comic TV series or movies has always been fun. And all those fans that thought Green Arrow and company would be making a reappearance must be disappointed. I also didn't like what Chloe's meteor power turned out to be. Well, four months more to wait for the new season...

PBB House
Stood outside this place last night at 7pm. Not that I went to that area specifically for that. Just wanted to see first hand what the big deal was about. Even the guards outside the place were entertaining visitors with their stories. Moving on to the next street, I even saw a middle aged guy and a woman on a motorcycle asking for directions to the place. It's a phenomenon.

Anthony Hopkins in the Movie "Fracture"
I watched this last Friday night. I thought it would be more of a mystery and mind-bender than it actually was. But there was only one big puzzle that needed to be solved, and it really could have been better off as an episode of one of those short anthologies. Because of that it seemed a waste of Sir Anthony Hopkins' talents.

Shrek the Third
Watched the advanced screening of this with some students and staff last night at SM Sta. Rosa. Not as much fun as the second movie. The high school scenes could have been given more screen time. I just don't see the kingdom and the main characters being taken over just like that.

I Bled Out Today
It was the annual physical examination for teachers and staff. As usual, the medical personnel couldn't find the vein in my arm again. Sigh.

The Imagination of the Japanese
Last Monday I was also able to watch these two live-action movies based on Japanese animation.
I marvel at how these non-Western thinking minds can turn a concept that could be turned by Hollywood into something so dull can amaze me with its unpredictability.

28 Weeks Later
Watched this last Sunday. I can't believe I watched two Danny Boyle and Alex Garland movies in two months. Now if I can find a copy of "The Beach" it'll be three movies...

Wild Hogs--Movie Poster
Might watch this movie this weekend. Missed it the first time it was out, then thought I could watch it last weekend, except that most of the movie houses were showing the Man Spider. Strangely, now they've re-opened it this week.

Villain Vs. Villain
Since I finally finished Lego Star Wars 1 for the GBA, I have unlocked all the characters for free play, so I could repeat the entire game with different characters.
I also just completed the climactic light saber battle in Episode 2, Yoda vs. Count Dooku, but I used Darth Maul instead. It's like editing the movie in my own mind. Maybe I could even have Count Dooku vs. himself, or at the end of Episode 3, Anakin vs. himself.

Spider-man & Gwen Stacy
Yeah, I watched 3. Just like X-men, they took a lot of liberties with the comic book continuity again, bringing in Gwen Stacy after Mary Jane.

Living On the Lake
Where I was earlier this week, which is why there have been no posts - no thanks to someone for not posting about my absence. Not exactly on the lake, but by the shore. This picture evokes the kind of poverty that can be experienced at the site.
